Darwell Public Library is a member of Yellowhead Regional Library. Darwell Public Library is also a member of The Regional Automation Consortium (TRAC) and of The Alberta Library (TAL). Our participation in The Alberta Library gives our patrons access to 15 million items in over 230 Alberta libraries.

Residents of Darwell may acquire a library card provided that proper identification is shown.

Your library card is The Alberta Library (TAL) card. This means that as a member of Darwell Public Library, you may borrow and return books at any Alberta Library.

Computers and Internet

At the Darwell public library we have 4 computer available for public use with Supernet high speed internet. We also offer wireless Supernet high speed internet, so you can bring in your own computer to use the internet.

Inter Library Loans

If you cannot find the item you want in the Darwell Public Library, we can order it in from another Alberta library through the inter library loans. Depending on the popularity of the item, it can be two to three weeks before it is received at the library.Items can also be requested by patrons themselves through TracPac online and the item will be sent to Darwell public library as soon as it is available. To request items log onto www.tracpac.ab.ca

$0.25 for the original page.
$0.10 for each additional page.

Projector and screen rental:

We have a projector and a screen that are available to rent, they may be rented together or separately.
You will be required to sign a rental agreement and pay a $200 damage deposit fee that will be returned to the renter once the equipment is returned.
