Family Literacy Day

Come and join us between 10am and 3pm for a "Learning Journey" and read about other parts of the world outside of Alberta.  This program is open to families with children ages 0-12 years of age.  Each family will receive a participating prize courtesy of Lac Ste. Anne Parent Link.

Candle Making with Lucy Stobl 7PM - 9PM

Come and join us and learn about beeswax candle making.  Lucy will talk about beeswax candles and various ways to make them.  You will get to make some tealights to take home.  The cost of this class is $ 2.00. A couple spots are still available.

Christmas Card Workshop

Barb McCheyne will be presenting this program.  Want to personalize your Christmas this is a great way to do it.  The cost is $ 20.00 for 10 cards and $ 2.00 per additional card.  Spots are limited so register early to avoid disappointment.  This program runs Saturday November 26, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Family Christmas Movie Night

Join us for some seasonal fun on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 7pm.  The movie is "The Smurfs" and has a PG rating.  Admission for the kids is free and there will be other surprises through the evening.  The program is sponsored by the Darwell Library, Darwell District Recreation Association and FCSS.

Library Month Open House Week

Come out and support your local library during our "Open House Week".  Daily draws and refreshments.  On Thursday, October 27, 2011 we are having Snapshot Day - Get in the picture, a day in the life of your library.  We will be taking pictures throughout the week and most especially on Thursday of all the patrons that attend the library so that we can display the library's active supporters and then submit them to the Yellowhead Regional Library for a provincial advocacy campaign.  Look forward to seeing you!
