Residents of Darwell and area may acquire a library card provided that proper identification is shown.

Your library card is The Alberta Library (TAL) card. This means that as a member of Darwell Public Library, you may borrow and return books at most Alberta Libraries.

Family: $20.00
Individual: $10.00
Student: $5.00
Senior: $5.00

Fees (Non-Residents)

Effective June 1, 2017, for residents of non-funding municipalities, the cost of a library card will be $40.00.

If you lose your library card please contact the library immediately to avoid the unauthorized use of your library card.
If you move or change your phone number please notify us as soon as possible in order to keep your file up to date.

Loan Periods

Books: 3 weeks
DVDs: 1 week/Series 21 days

Overdue Fees

Books/DVDs: $0.10/day
Wi-Fi Hubs: $10.00/day

Darwell Public Library is only able to accept cash payments for library cards and overdue fees.
